Erick Tsetekani, Executive Director
Eric Tsetekani, is the Executive Director for Maikhanda Trust, a local NGO in Malawi which was established in 2006. He has over 10 years working with Maikhanda under various portfolios namely: Program Manager, Deputy Executive Director, and now Executive Director. His role as Executive Director is to have oversight in areas of programming, Strategic Planning, and Financial viability of the organization. Mr. Tsetekani oversees a staff of about 40 individuals involved in Quality Improvement work and community work. Prior to joining Maikhanda, Mr. Tsetekani worked with Plan International as Program Coordinator, CARE International as Program Coordinator, and Catholic Relief Services as Training and Capacity Building Coordinator.
Mr. Eric Tsetekani is an innovative professional with over 10 years of progressive management experience in project design, implementation and evaluation gained in the various Non-Governmental Organizations that I have worked. Skilled in many management and administrative roles and functions including finance and policy analysis. An organizer and prioritizer who allocates and coordinate resources both human and material, to best effect. Excellent team player who listens, thrives on collaborating with diversely talented team members, and integrates their divergent thoughts, opinion and perspectives into meaningful action. Energetic, competitive achiever who can inspire and motivate team members, successfully manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Visionary and global thinker who is degreed in management and adept at training, developing, counseling, and coaching team members and clients.
Mr. Eric Tsetekani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration focused on General Management, Global Corporate Strategy, Human Resources Management, Corporate Governance, and Strategic Management and Planning. He is also an IHI-trained Improvement Advisor.
